N Chandrasekaran has been re-appointed as Chairman of Tata sons Group, one of the largest trading companies in the country. At a shareholders' meeting on April 25, 2022, Chandrasekaran was re-elected as Chairman of the Tata sons Group. The meeting also appointed Vijay Singh and Leo Puri as directors on the board.
Last year, Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran was paid an annual salary of Rs 91 crore. In addition to salary, a share in profits and other allowances are provided. N Chandrasekaran liked the performance and decided to continue as chairman for another year in February 2022. To this end, a meeting was held with shareholders on April 25, 2022. In this, Tatas voted in favor of Chandrasekharan.
Family members of former chairman Cyrus Mistry were absent from a recent Tata shareholders' meeting. The Mistry family has an 18 percent stake in the Tata Group. In 2016, Mistry was removed from the post of Tata Sons chairman. The Mistry family is still fighting in court over this.
