Two young men from Telangana in America died in a road accident. The incident happened Thursday in Alexander County in the state of Illinois. One of the dead was identified as Swarna Pawan, 23, of Jannaram village in Enkuru zone of Khammam district.
Swarnapavan left for America in August 2021 to study for an MS at Illias University. On the 21st of this month, he was returning to Ilias University with his friends in a car when he was hit by another car that crashed on the wrong route. Pawan, who was driving in the incident, and his friend Vamsi Krishna, who was sitting next to him, died on the spot. Along with them, friends Yashwant, Karthik, and Kalyan in the car were injured.
Police there registered a case over the car accident and handed over Pawan's body to his sister. The body will reach Hyderabad on Monday morning, from where it will be brought to Jannara and cremated, family members said.
