New Delhi: Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz has launched the fifth generation C-Class sedan in India. This model is expected to hit the market next month. Available in C200, C200D, and C300D variants.
The company has a plant at Chakan, near Pune in Maharashtra. Introduced C-Class in India in 2001. More than 37,000 cars are running on the roads. The company, which had a 43 percent increase in sales last year, is targeting double-digit growth in 2022. Sales in January-March 2022 were 4,022 units, up 26 percent from a year earlier.
The company aims to launch 10 new products this year. The company will also be assembling the EQS sedan electric model domestically from October-December this year. Mercedes is importing this fully electric car to India from October 2020.
