No hesitation to cross the border: Rajnath Warning

Guwahati (Guwahati): Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has said that if terrorist activities target India from outside the country, they too will not hesitate to cross the border. He was addressing a gathering of former Assam veterans who participated in the 1971 Indo-Pakistani war on Saturday. He said India had succeeded in conveying the message to the world that it was playing a pivotal role in ending terrorism.

Rajnath Singh has given a strong warning that if terrorists target India from outside the border, India will not hesitate to cross the border. However, compared to the western border of the country .. peace and stability on the eastern border. He said Bangladesh was a friendly neighbor and hence there were no tensions on the eastern border.

It is learned that the Center has recently withdrawn the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) from various parts of the North East. He said the central government would take such key decisions when peace conditions improve. He clarified that it was a myth that the army wanted the AFSPA to be in force.
