There was a terrible accident in Nepal. An explosion occurred at the oxygen plant. Two Indians were killed and six others were injured in the accident. They are being treated at the hospital. The deceased were from Bihar. Local officials responded immediately and examined the scene. Police are investigating. The local minister announced that the government would extend its condolences to those injured in the tragic incident and provide assistance to the families of the deceased.
An explosion at an oxygen plant in an industrial area in Lalitpur district near Kathmandu in Nepal on Thursday. Two Indians were killed in the incident. Six others were injured. The blast occurred while workers were filling gas in a cylinder at the Sagarmatha Oxygen Plant in Patan Industrial Estate.
The roof of the oxygen plant zinc was also destroyed due to the explosion. Also, the windows of the adjoining buildings were broken. Police have identified the dead in the crash. The deceased have been identified as Brij Mohan Mahato (45) and Rajkumar Mahato (25). Rajkumar Mahato died while undergoing treatment at BRB Hospital. Both are from Ratanopurva in the West Champaran district of Bihar. The injured were identified as Ramesh Adhikari (43) of Parsa, Durga Puri (36), Sudeep Timalsina (19) of Lalitpur, Ishwar Bajgain (22) and Anjana Poudel (20) of Okhaldunga. All of them are being treated at the hospital.
However, Lalitpur Chief District Officer Ghanshyam Upadhyay reached the spot and came to know about the incident. The bomber struck shortly afternoon in front of a crowd of mourners, blowing up several oxygen cylinders in nearby residential buildings. Similarly, Minister Balakrishna Khand reacted to the incident. Police were ordered to take remedial action and investigate the accident. Police are investigating the blast. The minister said the government would extend its condolences to those injured in the blast and provide assistance to the families of the victims.
