Another major shock to the popular search engine is Google. Two women have filed a lawsuit against Google in a U.S. District Court in Northern California. A lawsuit has been filed in a U.S. district court alleging that Google burned their hands while wearing smartwatches.
Google has released the most ambitious smartwatch under the name 'Fitbit'. Fitbit Versa 1 was released in April 2018, Fitbit Versa 2 in September 2019, and Fitbit Versa 3 in September 2020. The release of these smartwatches was made by Google and users also preferred to wear them.
As a result, users of smartwatches are experiencing a series of serious injuries to their hands and feet. There have been several complaints about the lithium-ion batteries in the watch exploding due to heat. In March of this year, it warned to immediately recall the vulnerable 10 million Fitbit watches that were plaguing users' lives. Confused by the Consumer Safety Commission's warnings, Google announced that it was recalling the watches.
According to a Bloomberg report, Jenny Houchens and Samantha Ramirez have filed a lawsuit in U.S. District Court. Jenny Houchans claims that her daughter's arm burned while wearing the Fitbit Smartwatch Versalite model, and Ramirez claims in a lawsuit against Google that she was injured while wearing the Versa 2 smartwatch. In addition, the two are demanding a refund of their Fitbit as well as legal costs. On this occasion, victims' lawyers buy smartwatches to burn calories. But it was argued in court that this was not to shoot hands.
