Fire Accident: Massive fire in Philippines kills 8, burns 80 houses

 

A huge fire broke out in the Philippines. Houses in a crowded place caught fire. Eight people were killed in the incident, officials said. Six children were also said to be among the dead. According to details, a fire broke out in a nearby residential area on the State University campus in Metro Manila on Monday.

The blaze broke out at around 5 a.m. local time at the University of the Philippines compound in the suburb of Quezon City. The victims were trapped in their homes. Six people, including children, were killed in the same house. According to reports, about 80 houses were burnt down and 250 families were severely affected by the accident. Receiving the information, firefighters rushed to the scene and worked hard for almost two hours to extinguish the blaze. Authorities said they had ordered an investigation into the incident.
