MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has said that it could take up to 12 years for the Indian economy to bury the losses caused by the Kovid epidemic. Production damage was estimated at about Rs 52 lakh crore during the epidemic. "With the Russia-Ukraine war, rising commodity prices and disruptions to the global supply chain are hampering global and domestic growth. The growth rate for the 2022–23 financial year is projected at 7.2 percent. Assuming that it is 7.5 percent after that, India is expected to be able to overcome the Kovid losses in 2034–35, ”the report said. The report was prepared by RBI's Department of Economic and Policy Research team. The RBI has clarified that these are not entirely the opinions of the authors.
