WhatsApp is cracking down on users who violate the rules. Complaints from various quarters, hunting down accounts that violate the rules through its own mechanism. WhatsApp recently announced that it had blocked 18 lakh accounts in March 2022.
The new IT laws enacted by the Government of India require the adoption of grievances on social media platforms with more than 50 lakh subscribers and action against violators.
