Hyderabad, Business Bureau: Technology giant Google is setting up its own campus in Hyderabad. Telangana State IT and Industries Minister K Taraka Rama Rao on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the 33 lakh sq ft center.
On this occasion, he unveiled the building design. It will be the second-largest campus in the world for Google. It is reported that the building is being constructed in a state-of-the-art capacity to house over 30,000 employees. The company bought 7.3 acres of land in Gatchibauli in 2019.
In 2015, KTR visited the company's headquarters in California, USA. On that occasion, an agreement was reached between the Telangana government and Google to set up its own campus. Google already has an office in Hyderabad covering an area of 30 lakh square feet.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the Government of Telangana to offer Google Career Certificate Scholarships to backward youth. Google will work with the Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge to provide scholarships. Candidates will have skill training in IT Support, IT Automation, UX Design, Data Analytics, and Project Management. Trained candidates are affiliated with various organizations. Google will also be launching the Womenville program with V-Hub. Provides guidance and support to women entrepreneurs to run their businesses better. Google will work with public schools to bring digital education closer to students.
