Ukraine-Russia war .. No winners: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to Germany, responds to the Ukraine-Russia war. Commented that there would be no winners in the battle. He said that none of them had succeeded. Prime Minister Modi said that India supports peace and wants an end to the war. Addressing a press conference with German Chancellor Olaf in Berlin, Modi said commodity prices had risen due to the Ukraine-Russia crisis. He reiterated that peace talks were the only way forward. Modi said the impact of the war was also being felt in developing countries. Modi said India was concerned about the humanitarian consequences of the war.

Modi arrived in Germany on Monday on a three-day visit to Europe. He was greeted at the Berlin airport by local officials and expatriate Indians. On this occasion, Modi participated in the Indo-German Intergovernmental Conference in Berlin. India-Germany signed nine agreements on Green Energy, Sustainable Energy Partnership, and Hydrogen Task Force.


Speaking on the occasion, Modi said that he was happy that his first foreign tour in 2022 would take place in Germany. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to attend the G-7 summit in Germany in June, Commander-in-Chief Scholz said. However, this is the first time the Prime Minister has met with Scholes since taking over as Chancellor in December last year.

As the Ukraine-Russia war continues, India is adopting a neutral stance as European countries show their support for Ukraine. In this context, Modi's tour of Europe has gained prominence. Modi is in talks to strengthen ties with European countries. Energy security in particular will be a major topic of discussion.
